6/19/1270, To Robert de Castre and Osbert de Kaylly collectors of the twentieth in the county of Lincoln … (S) CPRs.

1272, Emma’s father died.

11/16/1272, Edward I ascended to the throne while on crusade.

1287, Osbert de Caley claimed free warren, assize of bread and beer, view of frankpledge, … at West-Bradenham.

Osbert died.

1302, Emma’s brother Robert died, his son Robert, age 15, his heir.

1305, Emma died; her son Thomas de Caily had livery of her lands.

·         In the reign of Edward I, Osbert de Kailli witnessed the founding of the Hermitage at Ickburgh by William Barentun.

·         1309, Emma’s nephew Robert died leaving Emma’s descendents as coheirs.

·         Adam de Caily [Kailey, Caleye, Kaili ] s/o John de Kailli [died 1206] & Margery [who married 2nd Michael de Ponynges.] 1209 – A fine levied between Adam de Kaili, Michaed de Ponyngs and Margery his wife, tenant, of the dower of Margery, from John de Kailli, her first husband. 1228 – Another fine between Adam de Kailli, querent, and Margery, widow of John de Kailli.

Children of Osbert and Emma:

i. Thomas de Caley, born 1283 in England.

1/1306, Thomas son of [Osbert] de Caylly, 24 and upwards, co-heir [with his maternal aunts] of his cousin Robert de Tattershal.

By 1306, Thomas de Cayley, of Brompton, Yorkshire, gave his sister Margaret in marriage to Roger de Clifton, his esquire.

11/25/1306, Thomas did homage for his inherited Tatershal lands, including the castle of Buckenham.

1310-12, Thomas summoned to parliament.

7/30/1316, Thomas de Caley died leaving as his heir Adam de Clifton, son of Roger de Clifton, by Margery his sister.
