By 1240, Edmund’s father died; his older brother Henry the heir.

1240, Edmund son of Henry de Kemesek and Matilda his wife are associated with Tilbury-juxta-Clare.

By 1242, Edmund heir to his older brother Henry, who was heir to his older brother Tibbald.

Edmund died.

4/30/1253, Notification, that, whereas John Maunsell, provost of Beverley, received the whole land of Edmund de Kemessk at Estylerbiry at farm for 15 years, … death of the said Edmund, the king seized the land … king gives said land … during the minority of the heirs of the said Edmund. (S) CPRs.

·         Undated: Confirmation by Wimar de Torington of the release which Edmund de Kemesek made to John de Eston of all customs which he was wont to pay for the land which he holds of the marriage of Matilda, Wimar's daughter, in Frodham, for 6 shillings 9 pence paid in by the said John yearly to the said Edmund; witnesses: Walter de Isleham, Robert de Fordham and others.

·         4/30/1230, Essex. Henry de Kemeseck gives £10 for the fine of passage, to be rendered at the same terms. Order to the sheriff of Essex. (S) FRsHIII.
