10/17/1506, Thomas enfeoffed thereof Edmund Gorges and Nicholas Waddam, knights, Edward Waddam, esquire, Edward Daubeney (now deceased), William Crook and John Whicom, to hold to them and their heirs to the use of John Walsche, his son and heir, and Joyce, wife of the said John, daughter of John Brook, and the heirs of their bodies.

10/4/1529, Somerset: Indenture … between Thomas Newton Esq, and John Wailsche Esq, witnessing that whereas said Thomas Newton and Richard Ivie with others now dead … recovered of John Wailsshe son and heir of Thomas Wailsche Esq, the Manor of Cathangar and 200 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 200 acres of pasture and 100 acres of wood in Fifite and Cathangar, as their right and their inheritance as by matter of record thereof before Justices of Common Pleas, …; a certain close called Cathanger Orchard next Langford and 32 acres of arable land lying in the South and North field of Langford in Fifite at the time of the recovery … Thomas Salwaie now holds …; the said John Wailsshe for £22. now sells to Thomas Newton the said close and land, with all Charters and evidences relating to them.
