5/6/1408, Writ for IPM of John Deneys. Devon: John Deneys of Orleigh held the manor of ‘Horton’ of John Holand, earl of Huntingdon, a minor in the king’s ward, of the castle of Barnstaple by knight service, annual value 100s. He died on 5 Feb. 1405. John his son is next heir, aged 11 years and more. (S) CIsPM.

12/7/1422, Petitioner: George de la Bourse, merchant and burgess of Bruges. ·         There is a “John Deneys of Gydecote” [Devon] (fl.1347-1391) family which is contemporary with this family.
