2/25/1401, Hugh de Thorpe and wife Grace made a grant to John de Flaubarow, vicar of Thorpe, and Wm. de Hampton, chaplain; with remainder to right heirs of Hugh. (S) UKNA.

7/28/1414, Hugh de Thorp granted Henry Foster of Newark a messuage in Carter Gate and another in Le Beaumond.

5/1/1415, Indenture whereby Hugh de Thorpe, Esquire, grants to Henry Forster, draper, … and Katherine his wife, a tenement in Cartergate, between the messuages of Robert Benyfeld on the North , and William Clifford, Chevalier, on the South.

1424, Grace, widow of Hugh de Thorp Esq., gave a bond for £26.13.4 to Robert Merflete, Rector of Sutton Yorkshire.

Grace married 2nd Robert Doyle of Thorp.

·         Undated: Indenture witnessing that Robert Doyle of Thorp, near Newerk, esq., and Grace his wife, formerly wife of Hugh de Thorp, esq., have demised to John Cranmer of Aslacton and Alice his wife, daughter of the said Hugh, all their lands and tenements, rents and services, with appurtenances in Newerk and Northgate near Newerk, to hold the same for five years, paying annually one red rose at the feast of St. John the Bapt. (S) UKNA.

·         If Alice was born in Nottingham, this must have been the home of her mother Grace.
