By 1330, John married 2nd Joan, d/o Simon de Kirkton, widow of Peter Hedle, acquiring a third of the manor of Sibethorp. (S) CPRs, 12/6/1348.

1330, John acquired the other two thirds of the manor of Sibethorp from Joan’s sisters Margaret, married to John Chaumpeneys, and Alice, widow of William de Flete.

1336-37, John de Aslacton and Joan his wife, ... to grant land in Sibthorpe to John Cosyn, warden of the chapel of St. Mary, Sibthorpe. Notts. (S) UKNA.

1338-39, John son of Reginald de Aslacton, and Joan his wife, to grant rent in Sibthorpe ... (S) UKNA.
