6/28/1351, Walter Tyrell granted £10 yearly at the Exchequer. (S) CPRs, 3/20/1378.

1361-2, “John son and heir of Thomas Fitz Eustance to Thomas Tyrel the younger, Walter Tyrel, Thomas Bradewall, and Richard Duck: Grant of his manor of Berewyk in the parish of Standon: Herts.” (S) UKNA.

6/28/1362, Edward III granted Walter Tyrell 10£ yearly at the Exchequer. (S) CPRs.

1363, Walter named Steward General to the king’s daughter Isabel. [This year Walter’s son Thomas took over this position.]

1363, Walter granted permission to embark 400 acres of pasture and wood in Thorndon and Ingrave. (S) Gatehouse, Heron Hall, East Horndon [Essex].

2/15/1367, Grant, for life, to Walter Tyrell, for good service to the king and to Joan and Margaret, deceased, the king’s daughters, of the keeping of the passage over the ware of Twede at Berwick on Twede, to hold with all profits, … without rendering anything to the king. (S) CPRs.

By 1370, Walter died.

Walter married Eleanor Flambard. (S) Hist. of Cambridge and the Isle of Ely, V8, 1982, Meldreth.

1370, “Thomas Tirell, knight, to grant the manor of Avon to Walter Tirell, Eleanor his wife, …” (S) UKNA.

1371, To Walter Tyrell, the King’s valet, to whom the Lord the King, by his letters patent, lately granted 10£. yearly, … in discharge of the 100s. payable to him for this his allowance … Sum … £215 12s. 5d. (S) Issue Roll of Thomas de Brantingham, Bishop of Exeter, Lord High Treasurer.

3/20/1378, Inspeximus and confirmation of the grant of Walter Tyrell, the King’s valet, of £10 yearly at the Exchequer. (S) CPRs.

By 1382, Walter and Eleanor had a son John [age 40 and more in 1422.]

Eleanor [d.3/29/1422] married 2nd Nicholas Haute, knight.
