6/11/1295, A writ was issued about an inquisition returned to Chancery because no mention was made of Isabel, daughter and heir of John de Steyngreve, as next heir of Ida, who was his wife, to the lands he held of Ida after his death. (S) Yorkshire Inquisitions, 1902, P10.

8/12/1295, Order to the escheator on this side Trent to deliver to Simon de Pateshull of the county of Bedford and Isabel his wife, daughter and heir of John de Steyngreve, tenant in chief, the lands late of her said father, Simon having done homage. (S) CFRs. [Same order in the county of York.]

10/1295, Simon died.

12/2/1295, Order to the escheator on this side Trent to take into the king's hand the lands late of Simon de Pateshull, deceased, tenant in chief. (S) CFRs.

1/8/1296, IPM of Simon de  Pateshulle. … held in Stangreve … Nonyton … Waterholme … Schottone … Neuhawe … held of the inheritance of Isabel de Stangreve, who was wife of the said Simon; and John de Pateshulle son of Simon and Isabel is the next heir, and aged 4 years. 1/22/1296, Isabel, late the wife of Simon de Pateshull, puts in her place Alan de la leye to receive her purparty of the manor of Wotton, co. Bedford, … held in dower of Simon’s inheritance. (S) CCRs.

2/1/1296, To escheator this side of Trent, Order to deliver to John Buteturte, who is in the king's service in Gascony, and Maud, his wife, the following purparty of the manor of Wotton, co. Bedford, which belonged to Simon de Bello Campo, tenant in chief, and which Isabel, late the wife of the said Simon, held in chief of the inheritance of Roger de Moubray, Ralph Paynel and Joan, his wife, Isabel, late the wife of Simon de Pateshull, John de Horbury and Elizabeth, his wife, and the said John Buteturte and Maud, the heirs and parceners of the lands that belonged to Simon on the day of Isabel's death … if Roger, Ralph and Joan, Isabel, John and Elizabeth come to the king's court … (S) CCRs.

2/22/1296, To escheator Beyond Trent, Order to deliver to Isabel, daughter of John de Steyngreve, kinswoman and 3rd heiress of Ela, 2nd sister and heiress of Simon de Bello Campo, … in accordance with the partition of the manor made in chancery between the aforesaid Isabel and Ralph Paynel, who married Joan, and John de Horbury, who married Elizabeth, kinswomen of the said Isabel and daughters and heirs of the said Ela. 4/15/1306, Grant to Walter de Teye, in place of £277 17s 5d in which the king is bound to him, … of the marriage of John son and heir of Simon de Pateshull, tenant in chief, a minor in the king’s custody. (S) CPRs.

1325, Walter de Teye died.

6/15/1325, IPM of Walter de Teye. Bedford: Kaysho. The manor, held jointly with Isabel de Steyngreve his wife, to them and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of the said Isabel. … The said Walter and Isabel died without issue between them, and John de Pateshull, knight, son of the said Isabel, aged 30 and more, is her next heir. … Northampton: … Lincoln: … held jointly by the said Walter and Isabel in fee tail … York: Stayngreve. A messuage, 32 bovates of land, 38a. meadow and the advowson of the church … All the above were sometime in the seisin of Isabel daughter and heir of John de Stayngrave (who married) Walter de Taye by command of King Edward I; … And they died without heirs of their bodies. John de Pateshill is son and next heir of the said Isabel, and all the above ought to remain to him. (S) CIsPM.
