1293, Richard’s father died, his older brother Simon the heir; but Richard held lands certain lands jointly with his father.

8/23/1293, IPM of Richard de Cumbe. Wilts: [Fitelton.] A messuage … The said Richard and Richard his son held the tenements aforesaid jointly enfeoffed to them and the heirs of Richard the son. Simon his son, aged 18, is his next heir. (S) CIsPM.

11/25/1301 at Winchester, Debtor: Richard, son of Richard de Combe {Cumbe}. Amount: £20. [Wilts.] (S) UKNA.

9/8/1302 at Winchester, Debtor: Richard de Coombe {Cumbe} [Wilts.]. [Richard bought 30 qrs wheat, at 4s. 6d. a qr, and 50 qrs barley, at 32d. a qr.] (S) UKNA.
