6/1/1865, Amaziah surrendered at Citronelle, AL. The records indicate he was 30 years old, 5’ 10” tall, with dark hair and dark eyes.
1/30/1868, Amaziah married Nancy O’Neal in HarrCo, MS. (S) Who Married Whom in PerrCo., 1985.
7/16/1872, (S) PerrCo. Property Rolls; Amaziah purchased 160 acres. Expired 4/27/1885.

5/5/1920 Amaziah died. Burial: Cochran Cem., PerrCo., MS. (S) The Daily Herald, Biloxi–Gulfport, MS; death notice of A Cochran, father of David Victor Cochran. The article states that he was a CSA veteran, who settled in PerrCo., Black Creek district. His home was located near the intersection of Hwy 307 and Cooper Rd in PerrCo.
1921, Nellie applied for a Widow’s Conf. Pension in PerrCo.
5/28/1939, Nellie died in MS. Burial: Cochran Cem., PerrCo., MS.
