6/1880, (S) 1880 Census, AL, MobCo., Bayou la Batre. b: 1836. John (“Sammy”) works in the mill house where he was killed. See CD Census Record 14-1880.
6/3/1890 John died in Theodore, AL of a sawmill accident; he fell and hit his head on a railroad track. He is buried in Odd Fellows Cem., Bayou la Batre, AL.
~1896 Emily moved to Biloxi, MS.
1/23/1900 Emily died in Biloxi, MS. (S) Family notes. She is buried in Odd Fellows Cem., next to John, her mother, and father. The youngest of the children, Alice, in 1900, is living with her sister Etrula. Rubert and Ruberta are also probably living with relatives.
Family notes:
·         “Mrs. Emily Lamey, age 50 years, who has resided in this city about four years, died here yesterday morning after a long illness. The remains were forwarded to Bayou La Batre, Alabama for internment.” (S) The Daily Herald, Biloxi, 1/24/1900, P8, C2. According to family members present at that time [granddaughter Maude Bolton, interviewed 5/4/1984 by M B Lyon] Amelia’s body was brought by schooner to Bayou La Batre, where her brother Calvin presided over the burial. The graves are beside her parents, outlined in the same manner, but also unmarked.

4/29/1930, (S) 1930 Census, MS, HarrCo., Biloxi, WD1, BT1. Lived at 1521 East 3rd St. They own their home valued at $1000. “Lester” is a fisherman for shrimp and oysters. He is not a veteran.

4/20/1940, Leslie and Louisa Lamey live at 1521 3rd St., Biloxi, MS. They own their home valued at $600. Leslie completed 2nd grade, Louisa 1st. Daughter Theresa and granddaughter Alice, age 3, live with them. Leslie is an oyster catcher for a seafood company.

5/2/1910, (S) 1910 Census, MS, Harrison, Biloxi. Etrula is a widow living with her niece Rosina Gollott6i and her family. She is the only person in the US in the 1910 census with the name Etrula. She apparently sent her oldest 2 sons to an orphanage.
1912, Etrula died in Biloxi, MS of TB. Her sister Annie [Gollott] would name one of her children Etrula6vi; then Ruby Gollott, sister to Etrula Gollott would name one of her children after her, the researcher’s mother Etrula Cox2iii.
