• Azaline24iii: The Daily Herald, 3/11/1926: “Died Sunday morning, 8:15, Mrs. Aseline Bosarge, wife of J. E. Bosarge, a native of Alabama, but who had made her home in Gulf¬port and Pascagoula for the last twenty years. She was 82 years, 3 months and 4 days old. She leaves her husband, J. E. Bosarge, and five children to mourn her death. Her sons are Charles and Leonard Bosarge of Gulfport and Garland Bosarge of Pascagoula, and her daughters are Mrs. Florence Beckham and Mrs. Della John¬son, both of Gulfport. She had 29 grandchildren living and 34 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Rev. P. S. Dodge conducted the funeral services. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery.” (Gulfport,Miss.). She was a big woman 6 ft 2 in and weighted 250 lbs. She nursed during the yellow fever and smallpox epidemic about 1865. 8/25/1860, (S) 1860 Census, AL, MobCo., SD. No children. Victor lives next to his father and brothers Jefferson who will marry Anatolise and Ebernizer who will marry Azaline. He is a watchman, with real estate valued at $25, and a personal estate of $1500.
1861, Victor enlisted in Co. I, 21st AL Regt. He served 4 years and had been shot in the neck. He was discharged at surrender.

8/12/1874 Victor sold land to his brother Charleston for $50.
6/17/1880, (S) 1880 Census, AL, MobCo., AL Port, D122. Victor is a laborer. She lives near her sister Azaline, and next to her sister Anatolise.
10/1884 they moved to JaxCo., MS.
1/22/1886 Victor wrote a letter to the JOP of JaxCo. about homesteading the land he had lived on for about 15 months.
2/24/1893 Victor signed his will. (S) Chancery Court of JaxCo., MS, WB2, P126. Wife identified as Cecile Fannie Bosarge. Will was recorded 5/7/1907.
12/26/1898 Victor died, buried in Orange Grove. (S) The Pascagoula Democrat Star.
6/18/1900, (S) 1900 Census, MS, JaxCo., Scranton. Cecile lives on Porter St. with 6 of her grandchildren. She indicates that she was born 5/1834. One grandchild is named “Cecile Johnson”. There is also a grand-daughter-in-law “Belle”, married to Edward.
4/19/1910, (S) 1910 Census, AL, MobCo., Bayou La Batre. Celestine lives with son “Marston”, a fisherman, born 1874; and a granddaughter Mamie Peyregne, born in 1889. She indicates that she has had 17 children, 7 surviving.
1/27/1917, Celestine living in Bayou La Batre, AL, applied for a Conf. Widow’s Pension; boys all fishermen, girls all married. She is living with her son Marshall.
11/22/1919 Celestine died. Buried in Odd Fellows Cem., Bayou La Batre, AL.
