74. George Ripley [SC]


3/23/1779, Mr. George Riplay died at Ten Mile House.
4/16/1779, JOP John Troup noted that Mrs. Ripley at the Ten Mile House [a plantation] informed him of certain property to be sold.
8/11/1779, Executors of the “estate of George Ripley decd” sells to Conrad Reicheley a negro named Sam.
[A Ripley family from Vermont were members of the 2nd Presbyterian Church in Charleston. His name may also have been spelled “Rupele” – George Rupele having been an inn keeper.]

Aft. 1796 James died in NY.

ii. Jacob Purdy, born ?.
~1806 Jacob died at Milton in Rye, NY.
Children:
James Purdy IV, born 1788.
He was still living when the family history was written. See No. 38 source notes.
He had 5 sons and 3 daughters, all except one deceased when the history was written.
Alexander Purdy, born ?.
He never married.

ii. James Purdy III, born ?.
James lived in the “West” and had several children.
~1855 James died.
