Family notes:

Robert Darcy and Henry Fylongley state that
Robert Manfeld was given the office of Keeper of the Writs by Richard II for
term of life, but surrendered it when Henry IV granted it to Robert Darcy;
Henry V then granted it to John Hotoft at pleasure, and Robert Darcy was
granted an annuity in compensation. Robert Darcy recovered the office at the
start of the reign of Henry VI, renouncing the annuity, and on 16 October in
the King's nineteenth year he and Henry Fylongley were granted it for the term
