8/9/1380, Eleanor married Sir Reynold Cobham.

By 1383, Eleanor heir to her sister Joan, wife of Sir Robert Rous; becoming Lady Mautravers.

1384, Eleanor and Reynold were divorced because of family relationship.

9/29/1384, Eleanor and Reynold allowed to remarry with dispensation.

9/30/1399, Henry IV succeeded Richard II as King of England.

7/6/1403, Sir Robert died.

7/16/1403, Writ for IPM of Reynold Cobham, Senior, Knight. Northampton: He held a third part of the manor of Aynho in the dower of Eleanor his wife from her former husband John Darundell. Reynold his son and heir was 21 on 11 Nov. last. … Wilts: … In right of Eleanor his wife who survives him he held … (S) CIsPM. [Born 11/11/1381 – after they were married.]

1/12/1404, Eleanor died; buried with Sir John.

Wiltshire: She held in dower of the inheritance of Reynold Cobham, son of Reynold Cobham, her late husband, … She held jointly with John de Arundell, knight, to them and his heirs … John Arundell, esquire, aged 20 years and more on 1 Aug. last, is kinsman of both John Arundell, knight, and Eleanor, being the son and heir of their son, John Arundell, knight, junior. …

·         12/5/1375, John’s younger sons Henry, Edward and William were left 500 marks each in the will of their grandfather, Richard, earl of Arundel.

By 1384, John married Eilzabeth Despenser, d/o Edward, Lord Despenser [heir – son John, born 8/1/1385].
