A moiety of the manor (extent given), except a messuage and half a virgate of land therein, held for life in dower by endowment of Thomas de Grymstede, her first husband, of the inheritance of Joan Mauduyt, daughter and heir of Katharine de Grymstede, sister and one of the heirs of the said Thomas. She held it of the king in chief by service of a thirtieth part of a knight's fee, by a partition made in Chancery in the king's second year. • Thomas de Grymstede, who at his death in 1328. He left a son John, aged two, who only survived his father a few months, and the manor passed to Katherine sister of Thomas Grymstede.
