8/13/1361, IPM of Joan late the wife of Robert de Shawe. Wiltshire: Compton Chamberlayn. A moiety of the manor (extent given), except a messuage and half a virgate of land therein, held for life in dower by endowment of Thomas de Grymstede, her first husband, of the inheritance of Joan Mauduyt, daughter and heir of Katharine de Grymstede, sister and one of the heirs of the said Thomas. … Falardeston. A third part of the manor, and the aforesaid messuage and half virgate of land in Compton, held for life in dower as above of the inheritance of Nicholas de Benton, son and heir of Margaret de Benton, the other sister and heir of Thomas de Grymstede. … The said Joan died on 7 August last. William de Shawe, her son, aged 24 years and more, is her heir; but the reversion of the moiety of the manor of Compton and the rent in Orcheston belongs to Joan Mauduyt, aged 30 years and more, and the reversion of the third part of the manor of Falardeston and the messuage and half virgate in Compton belongs to Nicholas de Benton, aged 24 years and more. A moiety of the manor (extent given), except a messuage and half a virgate of land therein, held for life in dower by endowment of Thomas de Grymstede, her first husband, of the inheritance of Joan Mauduyt, daughter and heir of Katharine de Grymstede, sister and one of the heirs of the said Thomas. She held it of the king in chief by service of a thirtieth part of a knight's fee, by a partition made in Chancery in the king's second year. (S) CIsPM of Joan, late the wife of Robert de Shawe.

The manor, held of the king in chief by knight’s service, in joint feoffment with Juliana his wife, who survives, … He died on 1 April last. Maud daughter of Thomas Mauduyt his son, aged 9 years on the feast of St. Leonard last, is his heir. … Huntingdon: Bukworth. The manor, held for his life of William la Souche of Haveryngworth by knight’s service, …, with remainder to Thomas Mauduyt, his son, and Joan his said son’s wife, and the heirs of their bodies. … Joan, after the death of John Mauduyt, claiming the manor by the above grant, entered and holds the manor.
