~1285 Hawise [aka Avicia] born in Nettlecombe, Dorset, England, d/o 10161176. Sir Simon de Raleigh & 10161177. Joan le Tort.

1288, Baldwin age 4 at the postmordem of his father; receiving Enmore manor.

1304, Hawise’s father died.

1307, Baldwin Malet gives land in Bradwyke to Raymund Malet and Joane his wife. [Raymund is probably a cousin]

1311, “Baldwin and Raymund Malet”.

1312, an acknowledgement of homage due to and paid to Baldwin Malet by William Ridel. After this are in the same manuscripts many entries in which he is designated Baldwin Malet “filius Johannis, Dominus de Durburgh, &c.”.

5/28/1315, Commission to oyer and terminer to Hugh de Curteneye, … on complaint by Roger le Bret that … Baldwin Malet … violently assaulted him at nether Weycumbe, co. Somerset. (S) CPRs.

1333, Baldwin possessed Deandon and presented to the Church. [Deandon inherited through his parternal grandmother.]

2/7/1338, Exemption, for life, of Baldwin Malet from being put on assizes, juries, … against his will. (S) CPRs.

1338, Sir Baldwin arranged for his son John to marry Elizabeth De Kingston.

9/1/1338, Commission of oyer and terminer to William de Shareshull, John Inge, Baldwin Malet, knight, … co. Somerset … (S) CPRs.

2/13/1342, Commission of oyer and terminer to Hugh de Courteneye, earl of Devon, … on complaint of Hugh de Audele, earl of Gloucester, that, … [many persons including knights] Baldwin Malet, knight, John Malet, knight, … took away cattle … felled his trees … depastured his grass … assaulted his men … (S) CPRs.

1343, Baldwin died; leaving Enmore manor to his son John.

ii. Maud Malet, born ~1310.
Maud married Ralph Fitzurse.
10/1388 Maud died.

vi. Johanna Malet, born ~1318.
Johanna married Henry de Rydeford.
