1641, Louis born in LeNeubourg, Evreux, Normandie, France; s/o §Jacques Coulombe & §Rolline Drieu.

1651, Jeanne born in St Germain des Pres, Paris, France; d/o §Nicolas Boucault & §Marguerite Thibault.

Louis educated to write his name “Louis Collomb”.

By 1665, Louis arrived in New France.

1666, Louis was a domestic of Charles Roger, Sieur des Colombiers, one of the oldest inhabitants of Quebec.

1667, Louis granted 3 arpents of land by Msgr. Laval on I.O.

7/2/1667, Louis sold previously acquired land, 2 arpents on the north channel, to Gabriel Gosselin.

10/9/1667, Louis contracted with Jacques Cailhaut, Sieur de la Tesserie, to cut wood.

1668, Jeanne arrived in New France, a “fille de roi” with 300 pounds of goods and a dowry of 50 pounds.

10/26/1668, Jeanne had a “natural” child, a son Jacques Foucault, of an unknown father that died 5 weeks later.

9/7/1670, Louis and Jeanne were at the home of Anne Gasnier, patroness of the fille de roi to complete their marriage contract. Jeanne had a dowery of 300 livres in property and 50 livres from the king.

9/30/1670 in Ste Famille, I.O., Louis married Jeanne. Both origins were given. All parents listed. Attending: Charles Pouillot, Jean Paul Maheu.

1681 Census at St Famille I.O., Louis 40, Jeanne 30, children: Nicolas 10, Marie 8, Jean 6, Jeanne 4, Louise 2; 9 arpents cleared land, 2 cattle.

1/23/1696, Jeanne, age 45, was found frozen on the shore of the great river of Beauport; buried 2 days later, a Wednesday.

8/3/1700, Louis’ claim made against the widow and new husband of his son Nicolas was rejected by Provost at Quebec.

6/27/1701, Louis took his claim against the widow of his son Nicolas to the Soverign Council – again rejected.

10/12/1709, Louis gave his son Louis 1.5 arpents of the family property.

6/20/1710, An official survey was made of Louis’ land.

11/30/1720, Louis, age 79, died in St Laurent, I.O.

11/8/1694 in Beaumont, Nicolas married Anne, d/o 3866. Michel Maillou & 3867. Jeanne Mercier.
10/10/1695, Nicolas died in Hotel Dieu de Quebec.

ii. Marie Marthe Coulombe, born 6/27/1673 in Ste Famille, I.O., Quebec, Canada.
2/22/1694 in St Laurent, I.O., Marthe married Pierre Labrecque, s/o Pierre.
4/3/1761, Marthe, age 88, died in St Laurent, I.O.

iii. Jean Baptiste Coulombe (1010), born 3/10/1675 in Ste Famille, I.O., Quebec, Canada.

iv. Jeanne Coulombe, born 4/14/1677 in Ste Famille, I.O., Quebec, Canada.
2/1/1694 in St Laurent, I.O., Jeanne married Charles Pacquet, s/o Isaac.

v. Louise Coulombe, born 7/26/1679 in Ste Famille, I.O., Quebec, Canada.
8/21/1721, Louise took her vows as a nun at Hotel Dieu and took the name Sister of Sainte Barbe.
1756, Louis died.

vi. Marguerite Coulombe, born 11/2/1681 in St Laurent, I.O., Quebec, Canada.
11/3/1703 in Quebec, Marguerite married Francois Bouvet, s/o Michel & Madeleine Morel.
1/1/1727, Marguerite married 2nd Thomas Foru.

vii. Louis Coulombe, born 11/24/1683 in St Laurent, I.O., Quebec, Canada.
11/17/1710 in St Pierre, Louis married Helene, d/o Antoine Paulet & Maire Anne Loignon.
10/1759, Louis died in St Laurent.

viii. Charles Coulombe, born 11/13/1685 in St Laurent, I.O., Quebec, Canada. [Died an infant.]

ix. Catherine Coulombe, born 2/8/1687 in St Laurent, I.O., Quebec, Canada. [Died an infant.]

x. Catherine Coulombe, born 12/13/1692 in St Pierre, I.O., Quebec, Canada.
4/18/1716 in Quebec, Catherine married Pierre Prud’homme.

I was born in Plattsburgh NY and lived in Champlain and I live now in AZ but it’s nice and great to see where the Coulombe name comes from the history of the name great information and thanks to the people who put this information together Donald
