10/1681 of Quebec, I.O., Catherine lives with her parents and siblings.

7/11/1688 in St Francoise de Sales, Michel married Catherine, both residents of St Francois, I.O. All parents listed, Michel’s father deceased. Attending: Michel’s step-father Louis, Francois Guerinet, [2002] Jacques Baudouin.

Michel moved his family to Acadia [near present day St Stephen, N.B.]

8/8/1695, Michel granted the concession and a seigneurie of half a league on Descoudet [St Croix] river in Acadia.

8/1696, Michel leased the seigneury of Mathier Damours on the St John river in Acadia. [The lease never took effect because the seigneury was destroyed by the English commanded by Benjamin Church.]

1698, Michel returned to Quebec.

8/5/1698 in Quebec, Michel attended the wedding of 1006. Vital Joly & 1007. Marie Genevieve Jinchereau – his half-sister.

3/10/1701, Michel sold his concession in Acadia to his brother Charles.

2/11/1703, Catherine, age 32, died in St Michel.

Michel returned to Acadia.

1703, Michel asked the French government to send supplies to the Indians on the Saint John River, and to allow him to act as an intermediary with them.

1/7/1704, in Montmagny, Michel married Anne, d/o 3734. Philippe Destroismaisons dit Picard & 3735. Martine Crosnier. [5 children.]

6/1704, Michel and family residing on the St Croix river in Acadia.

The English commanded by Benjamin Church again attacked, and Michel and his family fled into the woods. Church recorded that Anne had left her silk clother and fine linens behind; and that Michel had been building a fort down river.

Michel moved his family back to Quebec.

4/15/1722 in Quebec, Michel married Anne Jeanne Sainte, d/o Jean Grodin & Sainte Migneault. [2 children.]

7/12/1734 in Berthier sur Mer, Michel married Jeanne, d/o Francois Chartre & Apoline Morin.

7/4/1750, Michel, a navigateur, age 83, died in Berthier sur Mer, Montmagny.

ii. Charles Chartier, born 1/17/1692 in St Francois, I.O., Canada.

4/11/1736, Charles, age 44, died in St Francois de la Riviere du Sud.

iii. Pierre Chartier, born 11/29/1693 in St Francois, I.O., Canada. [Died an infant.]

iv. Michel Chartier, born 11/29/1693 in St Francois, I.O., Canada. [Died age 9.]

v. Gabriel Chartier, born 2/23/1699 in La Durantaye, Canada.
1/25/1727 in Quebec, Gabriel married Jeanne, d/o Pierre Coutance & Marie Anne Cochart.

vi. Jacques Chartier, born 4/18/1701 in Berthier sur Mer, Canada.
2/27/1729 in St Pierre de la Riviere de Sud, Jacques married Marie Madeleine, d/o Guillaume Blanchet & Marie Anne Gagne.
