1636, Marie born in France; d/o §Robert Deligny & §Marie de la Tache.

1652-53, Louis arrived in New France to work for Toussaint Toupin [usually a 3-year contract.]

10/20/1654, Louis signed his marriage contract with Marie.

10/26/1655, Louis signed a 5-year contract to farm the Chateau Richer land of Toussaint Toupin. Toussaint would lease Louis 3 cows, 2 oxen, 2 calves, 4 pigs, a new plow, 3 boat loads of bulrush hay, a garden, a barn, a stable, and a house; with 60 livres added for each new arpent of land cleared. Louis was to give half of the surplus, 45 pounds of butter the 1st year, 50 the 2nd, and 60 the 3rd. …

11/3/1655 in Notre Dame de Quebec, Louis married Marie. All parents listed. Attending: Guillaume Thibault, Toussaint Toupin, Jean Cloutier. The wedding was in the home of Guillaume.

3/6/1657, Louis renegotiated his lease with Toussaint getting better terms. He only had to give back 1/17th of the grain if he did the threshing, only half of the vegatables, …

3/30/1659, Louis, at the home of the Marie Favery, widow of Sieur de Repentigny, ceded Louis land of 2 arpents frontage with rights to hunt and fish, having to pay the usual rents and 60 livres for each arpent already cleared.

4/16/1659, Louis returned 2 leased cows, for which he got a receipt.

2/2/1660, Louis confirmed at Chateau Richer by Bishop Laval, where he identified his origin as Chartres.

9/3/1660, Louis and Toussaint come to an agreement in a lawsuit. Louis abandoned the farm and the agreement included what Louis had to return to Toussaint.

10/23/1660, Louis’ contract with Toupin ended.

1666 census of Comte de Montmorency; Louis 35, Marie 30, children: Marie 9, Marguerite 5, Louis 3.

1667 census of Comte de Montmorency; Louis 35, Marie 32, children: Marie 11, Marguerite 7, Louis 5; Daniel Gendreau 80 – domestic; 9 cattle, 16 arpents under cultivation.

11/15/1668, Louis leased land from Bishop Laval with 2 oxen, a plow, a cart, and hay worth 60 livres for 200 livres the 1st year, and 300 livres each of the following 2 years.

10/9/1671, Louis renewed his lease with Laval for another 5 years.

2/11/1672, Louis and Marie residents of Chateau Richer. (S) Wedding of daughter Marie.

1677, Louis, age 46, died in Chateau Richer.

Louis’ inventory showed a small house, 12 arpents of land cleared from the “alders” on the edge of the river, another 18 arpents plowable and in the form of a meadow.

11/19/1677 in Chateau Richer, Marie contracted to marry 2nd Julien Allard dit Lavergne. Julien continued the lease between Bishop Laval and Louis.

3/2/1678, Julien Allard bought land from Bishop Laval that was next to that of Louis.

1681 census of Comte de Montmorency; Julien 50, Marie 45, Jobidon children: Louis 19, Anne 12, Francois 10, Marie 8, Catherine 5.

3/7/1691, Julien and Marie ceded their land to Louis Jobidon Jr.

12/24/1696, Marie, age 60, died in Chateau Richer.

11/20/1690 in Ange Gardien, Louis married Anne, d/o Claude Bouchard & Louise Gagne. [7 children.]
8/8/1742, Louis, age 79, died in Chateau Richer.

vi. Catherine Jobidon, born 2/8/1665 in Chateau Richer, Canada. [Died an infant.]

vii. Anne Jobidon, born 3/25/1666 in Chateau Richer, Canada. [Died an infant.]

viii. Catherine Jobidon, born 2/26/1667 in Chateau Richer, Canada. [Died age 14.]

ix. Anne Jobidon, born 5/12/1669 in Chateau Richer, Canada.
1/13/1688 in Chateau Richer, Anne married Jean Boet, a flour merchant from Picardy. [4 children – none surviving.]
4/11/1695 in Chateau Richer, Anne married surgeon Samuel Lecompte, s/o Noel. [3 children.]
2/19/1703, Anne, age 34, died in Chateau Richer.

11/19/1691 in Chateau Richer, Marie married Barthelemi Voyer, s/o Pierre. [7 children.]
1/24/1703, Marie, age 29, died in Chateau Richer.

xi. Catherine Jobidon, born 9/6/1676 in Chateau Richer, Canada.
2/20/1696 in Chateau Richer, Catherine married Jean Charest, s/o Jean. [10 children.]
