·         Ancestry of James Peverel: This family has conflicting evidence in multiple persons named “Hugh Peverel”.

·         There is a Hugh dying in 1296 with wife Margery, of Wilts & Cambridge, who’s heir is their son John. (S) CIsPM, 6/30/1296. This John left a son Thomas [of Wilts & Cambridge], who died in 1300, leaving 3 sisters as heirs.

·         Another Hugh of Devon, dying in 1260, has an heir of full age named John, (S) CIsPM, 11/6/1260.

·         Another Hugh of Essex and Norfolk, dying 1299, had an heir named John [d.1315 leaving an heir Hugh age 19., (S) CIsPM, 11/9/1315].
