During the captivity of R.I in Germany [1193], Henry de la Pomeray of Cornwall seized on St. Michael’s Mount on behalf of John Earl of Cornwall [future King John], who was then in rebellion against the King his brother: on hearing of the King's release [1194], he surrendered it without making any defence.
