6/14/1096, Otbert Bishop of Liège declared having bought ‘castellum de Covino’ from ‘comite Balduino de Mont’ [Baldwin II], in the presence of ‘uxore ipsius Ida (), cum filiis suis Baldewino [Baldwin III], Arnulpho, Lodewico, Heinrico’.

6/1098, Baldwin’s father died.

1102, Baldwin succeeded his father as count of Hainaut.

Aft. 1102, Baldwin married to Adelaide of Maurienne, niece of Ctss Clemence (756441635), who challenged the marriage before Pope Calixtus II.

1107, Baldwin married Yolende.

1117, A charter records the donation by ‘comite Balduino’, with the consent of ‘uxore sua Iola et filio suo Balduino’ to the abbey of Saint-Denis en Broqueroie.

1120, Baldwin died, buried at Mons, Belgium.
