7/1/1225, The king has taken the homage of Jordan Foliot, Isolda de Gray (47280385) and Ralph Paynel (30419040) for the portions that fall to them of the lands formerly of Robert Bardolf, their uncle [brother and heir of Hugh Bardolf who died in 1203], which he held of the king in chief. … to have full seisin of their portions … accepted security from Robert Wolf, in the place of Matilda Bardolf (94563025), his mother, who is one of the heirs of the aforesaid Robert, … to keep safely the portion falling to the son and heir of Hugh Poinz (Nicholas, 5000480), who is similarly one of the heirs of the same Robert and is under age and in the custody of the king. Matilda died.

·         1159, Charter of Jordan Foliot and his wife Beatrice to the monks of Pontefract of the West Mill of Norton for 10 marks silver; confirmed by Henry de Lascy and his son Robert de Lascy. Jordan identified his father as William Foliot. [1 of 2 charters given that year by Jordani Folioth.] In a charter of Henry de Lascy the same year, Jordan Foliot is designated as “the elder.”

·         Jordan had a brother named William. (S) 1236 records of his son Jordan (47281512).
