1271, Benedict de Blakeham married his daughter Joan; William de Hasteng giving in frank marriage the manors of Southrop and Thormerton, co. Gloucestershire.

11/16/1272, Edward I succeeded Henry III as King of England. [While on crusade.]

Isabel died.

1273, Benedict and Joan, age 23, with her father William de Hasteng, levied a fine for the lands given in marriage back to William for life.

1278, William died.

The manors, …  were given by the said William 7 years ago to Benedict de Blakeham in free marriage with Joan his daughter and heir, who held them for almost 2 years until he demised them to the said William for life.
