2/7/1272, Somers : Alexander Huse offered himself the fourth day against Richard de Mayesmor, Thomas de Welleslegh and Walter le Bedel on a plea wherefore they seised Alexander's beasts and unjustly detained them against the pledge etc. (S) Somerset Pleas, SSR Soc., 1833, Landon.

1289, Thomas died.

8/23/1289, IPM of Thomas de Welleslegh alias de Wellesle. Somerset: Estperet. The bailiwick, held of the king in chief by serjeanty of rendering a mewed sparrowhawk yearly or 4s., and it is worth 26s. 8d. yearly by receiving an ox or 5s. 4d. from disseisors convicted by assize of novel disseisin in the bailiwick. Wellesle. A messuage with garden, 45a. arable, 5a. meadow, and the foreign hundred of Welles', held of the bishop of Bath and Wells, service unspecified. Thomas his son, aged 28, is his next heir.
