12/27/2011, Micheline died in Cooper City, Broward Co., FL. (S) Obituary. Obit. of Micheline: Micheline Cochu King, 85, of Cooper City, FL passed away on December 27, 2011. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Michel Cochu of Paris, France. Mrs. King is survived by her devoted daughter Melanie and son-in-law Emilio Fox of Davie, FL, niece, Francoise, nephew, Gerard, and sister-in-law, Yanette Cochu, all of Paris, France, and cousin, Aline Barrier, of Scionzier, France. Born in Paris, France, to Pierre and Juliet Cochu in 1926, Micheline emigrated to NYC via Ellis Island as a WWII war bride in 1945. Micheline initially worked as a ballroom dance instructor and later as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for over 60 years. In addition to her volunteer work at Coral Gables Elementary School, Micheline also volunteered extensively at Pembroke Memorial Hospital and was recognized as the hospital's Volunteer of the year. Micheline was loved dearly, will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Contributions in Micheline's name may be made to Catholic Hospice, St. Catherine's West, Hialeah Gardens.
