Living near Courtney’s father Edward. it appears that either Courtney’s or Burrell’s mother is living with them. 2 f’s 5-10 have not been identified. 2 males under 5 have not been identified. These are probably the same unidentified persons in the 1820 census in which he is not married. He lives next to his brother Allen.
(S) 1830 Census, MS, JaxCo. Burrell appears next to Allan and near William in both counties. Note that in this census Burrell’s age is given as 30-40, which is correct. In 1823 the boundary between Greene and JaxCo’s was changed, probably causing the confusion as to which was the county of residence.

The property in S2 was originally owned by Burrell’s father. Burrell at one time owned all of S3 [just above Avent in George Co.], so he must have sold half of it.

1861, William enlisted in the CSA, serving under Col V H Manning, 3rd AR Regt. He fought at the battle of Antitam, and then was wounded at Richmond in 1865. He was sent home.
