They lived most of their lives on Horne Island. (S) L.O., P499+.
1748, Maturin married Marie in Pascagoula, MS.
2/28/1751, “This year of 1751 and the 28th of February, I, the Capuchin Priest, baptized Jacque, born of the legitimate marriage of Maturin Adner and of Marie Catherine Elberda, the father and mother, the 15th of December. The godfather being Jacque Heli, cooper at the house of Mr. Caminada and the godmother being Gillette Gautier, wife of Sieur Ruellen, in evidence I have signed the day and year as above given.” /s/ F. (S) 1/1/1787 “Favrot Census” of Mobile, Bay St. Louis & Pascagoula, Mathurin Ladner, widower 52, 1 child, free mulatto named Eugenio, free black named Catherine.
1788-1800, Maturin died on Horn Island off the coast of Pascagoula, MS.

• 24 April 1758 citation in General Abstracts of Mobile Cathedral Archives by Deville: “24 April 1758 – Baptism of Joseph Ladner, age 3 months, s/o Mathurin Christian Ladner, habitant of Paskagoula, and Marie.” /s/ Ferdinand. (S) CIC, BB1, P200a.
• Note that brother and sister Nicolas Carco and Marie Carco, married brother and sister Jacques Ladner and Catherine Ladner.
• A “Picard, his wife and son in law, coppersmith” [but not his daughter] were massacred at Natchez 11/28/1729.
