~1600, Elizabeth born in England, d/o 5746. John Le Byrd & 5747. Elizabeth Burgh.
9/18/1617 at St. Andrew by the Wardrobe, London, Thomas married his paternal 1st cousin Elizabeth.
~1623, Thomas died in England.
~1678, Elizabeth died in England.

Children of Thomas and Elizabeth:

i. William Bird ( 1436), born ~1619 in England.

ii. John Bird, born ~1621 in England.
John, goldsmith of London, married Grace Stegge, step-neice to William’s wife Hannah, d/o Elizabeth ( 2875). [According to eldest son William he was honest, but neither wealthy nor influential.]
3/31/1670, “Mrs Grace Byrd” wife of John named as the sister of Thomas Stegge Jr in his will.
1677, John died in London.
Col. William Byrd of Westover, born 1652 in England.

His uncle Thomas Stegge sponsored his travel to America.
3/31/1670, he was left lands in VA and England by his uncle Thomas Stegge.
1673, he married Mary Horsemanden, d/o Warham.
7/8/1700, Auditor of VA, he wrote his will in Charles City, VA.
~1700, William, of Westover VA, petition to the King for a coat of arms. This petition established the family line back to Henry Le Byrd ( 11488).

iii. Thomas Bird, born ~1623 in England.
3/12/1708, Thomas died in Henrico Co., VA.
