Thomas acquired the manor of North Wraxall [“Werochesahlle” in Domesday] from the Cervington family of Longford.

6/14/1429, due to nonpayment on a loan made by Thomas’ father, John Mavyell imprisoned: “Debtor: John Mavyell, otherwise called John Richardes, draper, of Bristol. Creditor: Thomas Young, formerly a merchant of Bristol, now deceased [his executors are: Joan Young, Thomas's widow, and Thomas Young, his son.]”. (S) UKNA.

4/27/1432, “Debtor: Nicholas B..thorpe, citizen and vintner of London. Creditor: Thomas Young, of Bristol, gentleman, …, merchants, of Bristol. Amount: £20 of good, legal, and usual English money, for divers merchandise bought from them in the Staple of Bristol.” (S) UKNA.
