6/12/1728, Amand born in Acadie; s/o 900. Antoine Landry & 901. Marie Blanche LeBlanc.

7/19/1728, Amand baptized in St-Charles-aux-Mines Catholic Church, Grand Pre, Acadia.

Bef. 12/31/1752, Amand married Marie. (S) PRDH, #223759.

9/10/1755, “Aman Landry” of the village of Antoine confined by British Col. Winslow at Grand Pre. Amand owned 4 bullocks, 5 cows, 15 young cattle, 28 sheep, 18 hogs and 2 horses.

1755-56, the family deported to MA, United States. MA records indicate “Amant Landry”, his wife Magdelaine, 1 son, and 4 daughters arrived in MA. [Most of his relatives were also deported.]

~1759, The family, consisting of “Amon”, age 31, his wife, age 31, son Joseph, age 8, Mary age 4, Margaret, age 3, and Anna, age 2, was settled in Bradford, MA.

1760-65, the family lived in MA, United States.

By 1766, the family returned to Laprairie, Canada. [Amand was identified as an “immigrant” in a church record when he returned to Canada.]

4/9/1789 in L’Acadie, Amand and Madeleine present at the baptism of their grandson Pierre Mailloux, s/o daughter Genevieve married to Pierre.

9/15/1807 in L’Acadie, Madeleine, age 79, died; buried the next day. Amand, spouse, is listed as a laboureur.

2/11/1809, Amand died; buried the next day in L’Acadie, Quebec.

Family notes:
• This Amand is sometimes given as s/o Charles Landry. While there is very limited evidence for Charles as the father, the two main sources cited indicate that he was the son of Antoine.

10/19/1766, Genevieve, age 4, confirmed at the baptism of her sister Marguerite.
10/15/1787 at L’Acadie, Genevieve married Pierre Mailloux, s/o 448. Jean Baptiste Mailloux & 449. Marie Louise Vallee.

vi. Elisabeth Isabelle Landry, born 1765 in MA, United States.
10/19/1766, Elisabeth baptized, age 13 months, in L’Assomption, Canada.

vii. Marie Rose Landry, born 4/21/1768 in Laprairie, Canada.
5/8/1768, Rose died.

viii. Jean Baptiste Landry, born 4/10/1769 in Laprairie, Canada. [Twin]
4/27/1769, Jean died.

ix. Pierre Landry, born 4/10/1769 in Laprairie, in Canada. [Twin]
10/15/1787 at L’Acadie, Pierre attended the wedding of his sister Genevieve.

x. Rosalie Landry, born 11/4/1772 in Laprairie, Canada. [Twin]
3/8/1773, Rosalie died.
