1296, “John de Coggeshale, alias de Cogesale: Essex” died before his father; holding a moiety of the manor of Hoo Hall, viz. 90 acres of arable, &c. by half of that service; [as did afterward his son and grandson.] (S) See his father’s 1305 record.
