12/1191, Hugh the Sheriff of Shropshire paid Hugh 25 marks for ward of Norton castle, Radnorshire.

1194, Hugh served in Normandy with King Richard.

1194-95, Hugo de Say paying scutage of xxiii.l, xxiii milites in Herefordshire, and granted delay to pay in Berkshire. (S) Red Book of the Exchequer. [£23 on 23 knights’ fees.]

1195, The Sheriff of Shropshire paid Hugh 100s. to fortify the castle of Blidewach.

1222, Margery and husband William conveyed a moiety of the manor of Dodderhill to her mother Mabel for her lifetime.

1222, Mabel died.
