12/1191, Hugh the Sheriff of Shropshire paid Hugh 25 marks for ward of Norton castle, Radnorshire.

1194, Hugh served in Normandy with King Richard.

1195, the Sheriff of Shropshire paid Hugh 100s. to fortify the castle of Blidewach.

1196, Hugh de Say and and Roger de Mortimer of Wigmore fought and lost the battle of New Radnor against Rhys ap Gruffydd, losing about 40 knights and many foot soldiers. (S) Dic. of Welsh Biography.

1222, Margery and husband William converyed a moiety of the manor of Dodderhill to her mother Mabel for her lifetime.

Mabel died.
