1053, Frederick’s father died.

1072-73, Agnes born in Germany, d/o 1512882334. Emperor Henry IV & 1512882334. Empress Bertha of Savoy.

1073, Leopold born at Babenberg castle in Austria, s/o §§Margrave Leopold II of Austria (b.1050).

4/1079, Frederick von Buren created Duke of Swabia by Henrich IV, King of Germany; and betrothed to the king’s 7-year-old daughter Agnes.

1089, Frederick married Agnes.

1094-95, Frederick’s mother died.

10/12/1095, Leopold became Margrave of Austria on the death of his father.

1098, Duke Frederick reached an agreement with his rival Berthold of Zähringen whereby Frederick ruled over Swabia down to the Danube river, and Berthold ruled south of the Danube. Berthold took the title Duke of Zahringen.

~1100, Frederick founded a Benedictine abbey in far-eastern Germany.

By 1105, Frederick assumed the titles of Reeve [overlord] of Weissenburg abbey, and of the bishopric of Speyer.

By 7/1105, Frederick died.

1105, Leopold’s 1st wife died.

1106, Agnes married 2nd Markgrave Leopold III of Austria. [This marriage would create many younger half-siblings to Frederick and his younger brother Duke Konrad of Franconia.]

8/7/1106, Agnes’ father died.

1125, Leopold a candidate for Kaiser [uncrowned Emperor] of the Holy Roman Empire, which he declined.

9/24/1143, Leopold died, buried at Klosterneuburg monastery.

9/24/1143, Agnes died.

Family notes:

1/6/1485, Leopold canonized as the Patron Saint of Austria, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Vienna. Leopold’s feast day is Nov. 15th. Mainly remembered for the founding of monasteries at Klosterneuburg, Heiligenkreuz, Kleinmariazell and Seitenstetten.

1663, Emperor Leopold I decalred Leopold as the Patron Saint of Austria at Klosterneuburg. On that day, at St. Stephen's Cathedral the brothers Joseph and Michael Haydn, each of whom sang in the choir [Joseph the famous composer.]
