1/1/1857, James married Julia: State of Arkansas, County of Van Buren. “I J. J. Stabaugh an ordained minister of the Christian Church do nerby certify that I did join in marriage on the first of January 1857 James Fulkerson of the county and state aforesaid aged twenty four years and July Ann Pate of the county of Connway of of Connway and state of Arkansas aged nineteen years and then ? declared them to be husband and wife.” (S) Original Record.

3/10/1897, James died in Stephenville, Erath Co., TX. (S) Julia’s Pension Appl.

5/8/1910, Julia age 72, mother-in-law and widow, lives with her daughter Fannie Thornton in Comanche Co., TX. Fanny age 36, married to Arthur E Thornton age 38, has 3 sons and 2 daughters. Julia can read and write.

12/1913, Julia moved to Ennis, TX. (S) Julia’s Pension Appl.

4/19/1915, In Ellis Co., TX; Julia A. Fulkerson, widow of James Fulkerson (death info. ...) “I have not remarried ... I was married to him on (date and place given) ... “My husband, the said James Fulkerson enlisted and served in the military service of the Confederate States during the war ... (Other info) age 77 years, born in VanBuren Co., AR. Resided in TX 29 years. Resided in Ennis, TX, for 16 months. (James’ death date given) James a member of “a” company 10^th Regiment of AR; calvary.

2/28/1916, Julia died in Ennis, Ellis Co., TX.
