5/28/1992, “Zelma Juanita Wood, a homemaker, died Tuesday at Fort Worth hospital. She was 87. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Wood was born in Cottondale and lived in Fort Worth since 1924. Survivors: Two sons, Jim Wood of Shreveport, LA, and Glen H. Wood of Fort Worth; daughter, Patsy Fulkerson of Hurst, three brothers, Bill Early and Byron Early, both of Fort Worth, and Brutis Early of Amarillo; four sisters, Letha Bevins of Fort Worth, Edith Roper of Jacksboro, Marie Eason of Dallas and Cletis Neale of Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.” (S) Fort Worth Star Telegram.

·         Obituary: FORT WORTH - Glen H. "Red" Wood, 71, a retired public school teacher, departed this earth Tuesday, June 13, 2000, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Glen H. "Red" Wood was born on Sept. 18, 1928. He retired from Southwest High School as offensive line coach and baseball coach. Prior to that he coached at Paschal High School for many years. He was a 1947 graduate of North Side High School and was All District Guard in 1945 and 1946. In 1948, while at Cameron Junior College at Lawton, Okla., they won the National Championship and the Little Rose Bowl. He graduated from North Texas and was All Conference Guard 1950 and 1951. He was the first head coach at Laredo Nixon High School. He will be deeply missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff at Huguley Hospital, Harris Hospital and the Harris Hospice for their loving care. Glen was preceded in death by mother and father, Zelma and Raymond Wood. Survivors: Wife of 13 years, Rosemary Wood of Fort Worth; daughters, Jamie Lynn Taylor of Fort Worth, Drinda Campbell of Fort Worth, Mandy Sain of Fort Worth; son, Auddie Campbell of Fort Worth; brother, Jim Wood and wife, Charlene of Shreveport, La.; sister, Patsy Fulkerson and husband, Paul of Hurst; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
